Origin Branding-07.jpg

This year Origin will gather online and in the evening with facilitated discussion groups directed by Art House Dallas leaders. Prior to each gathering, a video will be posted of the teachings for the topic. This year we are focusing on the notion of becoming—a becoming that requires local participation with neighbors, in our neighborhoods, and in life together.

Session 1: BECOMING THROUGH CHRIST

Origin, an Art House Dallas program, seeks to establish a wholeness and connectedness between spiritual formation, imagination, and the arts with the ultimate intent to establish a sacred perspective on how we individually and collectively live and create. We believe that beauty shown through the arts, culture, and creation holds a powerful ability to form the way we see ourselves, the world, and our interaction with both. Observing beauty gives witness to something deep and life-giving—the Source and Sustainer of all creation. As embodied creatures made in the image of the Triune God we must consider the formation of our senses, our emotions, and our ideas. This same incarnate God calls us to be like him in our participation of cultivating goodness, truth, and beauty. This year Origin will gather online and in the evening with facilitated discussion groups directed by Art House Dallas leaders. Prior to each gathering, a video will be posted of the teachings for the topic. We will focus on the process of becoming which is awakened through the materiality of a placed community and the tangible facets of life together. Join us for a discussion on Thursday, July 23rd.
