About Art House Dallas

Art House Dallas is a local nonprofit that serves and supports hundreds of local artists – visual arts, music, and literary – each year through artist formation and outreach opportunities. Central to our mission of creativity for the common good, Art House Dallas believes in the power of creativity to form a more thoughtful, compassionate, and united Dallas. Our work is built upon the value of three pillars: community, formation, and outreach.

While rooted in a historic Christian perspective, Art House Dallas welcomes all artists and creatives to our events to find community, be encouraged, and be challenged to think deeply about our creative selves.

Featured Artists

Zion Dance Project

Zion Dance Project began in early 2017 by Vincent and Abigail Hardy. As they experienced dancing professionally, they saw the need for a platform consisting of faith and professional dance cultivated as one.
Pushing the boundaries of what it looks like to be a Christian dancer, Zion is committed to raising the standard of Christian art and restoring the expression of God in the professional dance industry and in the global church.

Christine Hand Jones

Christine is a singer-songwriter, performer, and professor. She is a true believer in the power of community theatre, and has both performed in and composed music for several local Dallas-Ft. Worth productions. She is also the co-writer of The Scarlet Letter Musical, which received its first staged reading in July of 2023 with The Table Co/Lab (now SheDFW). Christine teaches writing at SMU, and she holds a PhD in literary studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, which she earned largely by writing about the music and lyrics of Bob Dylan. Interested in the intersections of music and literature, her recent academic work has focused on Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, The Band, and Paul Simon. When she's not in the classroom, she performs her original soulful folk-rock music around the DFW area. Her most recent album, Standing on the Shoulders, is a tribute to family, in all its messy beauty, and it intertwines real-life family stories with meditations on loyalty, loss, and love. The album wraps its intimate story-telling in a combination of bluegrass instrumentation, lush strings and ethereal vocals. Find out more at christinehand.com.
