What is Art House Exchange?

Art House Exchange is a gathering that exists for the exchange of ideas and creative discussion across mediums.

This event is geared toward the creative community at large, not one specific discipline. The Exchange provides attendees opportunities for collaboration, inspiration, encouragement, and discussion between fellow musicians, writers, artists, performers, entrepreneurs, and all others who share a passion for creativity and imaginative living.

The evening includes facilitated yet casual discussion in large and small groups, with time for general conversation and networking and maybe even a little artistic inspiration.

Juba

Juba's art is autobiographical, addressing the complexities of beauty, the impact of social and cultural issues, and the narratives of trauma, mental health, and adversity that come from his experiences as a child in the child welfare system. He explore these themes using traditional mediums and digital art.

Juba received a bachelor's and master's degree in social work and now works with children in foster care who have experienced some of the same traumas as him. “Advocacy can be transferred to everything you do, even in the visual arts.” It is Juba’s goal to be a voice in art while exploring these subjects in the hopes of creating individual and community awareness.
